Goblin Tales

pix I did of goblin
mythology...I might
have written the
stories (or stole them),
too, but don't recall
what became of them.

Blue, White and Green

Another tiny b'fly...my scrawl
indicates that it sports an
iridescent green.

Orange, White and Black

This was a teensy feller, too.

orange in order to ward off predators...

Le Rendezvous

...this might have been a
restaurant, although any
place classy enough to display
statuary was probably beyond
my means in 1978.

Boys Will Be Girls

Somewhere in the Quarter
was an establishment with
this name...might still be
there.

Purple tree

...I believe this was sketched
at a city park where the
Louisiana Jazz and Blues Heritage
Festival was held...I remember eating
"dirty rice" and seeing the
Fabulous Thunderbirds that day.
Last year I had the pleasure of dining
at a non-descript eatery called, I think,
Metairie Seafood...great food and large
posters on the wall for nearly every
LJBHF dating back into the 70s.

Wheat

This is a rather incomplete
template for a wheat sheaf
design on punched tin. I printed
it out full size, then taped it
to the sheet metal and punched
out the holes.

So, here's where many

Ah, the delicious squid...well, not delicious

I managed to make this into a favorite
foodstuff for my kids.

Mezzaluna

This, I learned, is a mezzaluna...

one back from Tuscany.

Espresso Brewer

For years I never drank coffee,
but then we were at the late Gus's
party and he brewed up espresso
on the stovetop and I enjoyed that
as a pick-me-up after drinking. We
had one of these at home, never used,
so I tried it from time to time and
then one night it exploded! Oops!
