Espresso Brewer

For years I never drank coffee,
but then we were at the late Gus's
party and he brewed up espresso
on the stovetop and I enjoyed that
as a pick-me-up after drinking. We
had one of these at home, never used,
so I tried it from time to time and
then one night it exploded! Oops!

Rapscallion

Here's a send-up of a 78 record label
(the musical era I love best) for a
poster when my buddies and I
played at the Borders coffee shop.
We were the Clueless Rose Trio, riffing
off the obscure songster Bayless Rose and
the song title refers to the fact that we
would not be playing any songs by the
equally obscure Dick Justice...both artists
recorded versions of "Old Black Dog Blues".

Lipinski

Republican America, and especially
Illinois, has a long tradition of
establishing aristocracies. Here
is our congressman, Daniel Lipinski,
installed by his dad.
